Live webinars are similar to a conference room based seminar, however, participants join remotely, in real-time, via a computer. A live webinar can be collaborative and include question and answer sessions to allow full participation between the audience and the presenter. These webinars are delivered at a pre-determined, advertised time.

For attendees of a live webinar, the benefit of this format is that it allows them to learn about topics relevant to their interests, without having to spend time and money traveling. Someone could attend a live webinar from an office desk, from a conference room, or even from a home office. Usually all that is needed is a computer with an Internet connection and a Web browser.
